Angela Yeoman OBE DL has been Chairman of Somerset Community Foundation since it was founded in 2002. The charity marked the end of her term as Chairman at their AGM & Annual Party last Wednesday 14th October, held at The Royal Bath & West Showground. Mrs Yeoman introduced new Chairman, Peter Wyman and thanked Trustees and staff for their support over the past seven years.
Peter Wyman is a partner in Pricewaterhouse Coopers and is a member of their global executive, responsible for public policy and regulatory matters. He was President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 2002/03. Peter lives with his wife, Joy and children in the Quantocks.
Around 120 donors, supporters and volunteers attended the Annual Party to thank Angela Yeoman for helping to build Somerset Community Foundation over the past seven years and to acknowledge the financial support given to community projects through the charity’s grant awards.
Some of the voluntary Groups and projects who have received funding from the charity were present at the Annual Party so that guests were able to experience first-hand how Somerset Community Foundation adds value to local communities throughout the county.
As a farewell gift to acknowledge Mrs Yeoman’s tireless work and support, staff member presented Mrs Yeoman with a garden bench made by Somerset Forge of Easton near Wells.
