£30,000 Cash for Communities

We have teamed up with the Mid Somerset News & Media to help small community and volunteer-led groups in the Sedgemoor area by handing out £30,000 in grants to readers of the Cheddar Valley Gazette and the Bridgwater & Burnham Times

Any small voluntary group or community project can apply – as long as their turnover is less than £30,000 a year.

We welcome applications for funding in the ranges of £250 to £5000, the aim is to help projects that make a real difference in our local communities but who may find it difficult to access funding.

Somerset Community Foundation Director, Jusitn Sargent said, ‘we know there are very real issues and needs across Sedgemoor and would welcome more funding applications from community projects in these areas’.

Closing date for applications: Thursday 18th March 2010
Grants panel meets: Monday 29 March 2010
Grants awarded: Thursday 1 April 2010
