Quality Accreditation Awarde to the Somerset Community Foundation Somerset Community Foundation has been awarded the Community Foundation Network’s Quality Accreditation Award, which is formally endorsed by the Charity Commission for England and Wales, for the second consecutive time. The Quality Accreditation programme was established to endorse and encourage best practice in the national network of Community Foundations. It is based on a set of standards developed specifically for Community Foundations, Justin Sargent, Director of Somerset Community Foundation, said “Achieving Quality Accreditation demonstrates that we are serious about quality and accountability in every aspect of our work, from grant-making to donor care. I am very pleased for our staff and trustees who work tirelessly on behalf of the Foundation that they hard work has been recognised in this way.” The Quality Accreditation standards cover five key performance areas, which are subject to independent scrutiny:
