Rivel Cricket Club
Grant: Local Network Fund, £3944
Project: Grant money has been spent on strengthening
the junior section of the cricket club by responding to the local
children’s needs and encouraging girls to participate and enjoy
cricket. The cricket sessions were made free so that all children
aged 5 to 15 years could get involved and join in, improving and
developing their fitness and skills.
Background: The club was established in 190.
The main purpose of it is to give all members of the community
the opportunity to learn to play cricket and to take part in social
or competitive games.
