
Localgiving.com is an easy and effective online tool for local charities and community groups to raise money, awareness and support. The website empowers local communities by providing resources to small charities and community organisations so you can be more effective and self sustainable.
Localgiving.com allows your group to set up its own webpage which you simply write and update yourself. You will be able to accept online donations and keep in touch with your supporters.
This can help increase your sustainability by:

The service is free for the first 3 months and costs only £60 + VAT (£72) annually thereafter. A limited number of grants are available from SCF for your first year's subscription. You can apply by.
There is a one off assessment charge of £40 to groups unknown to Somerset Community Foundation who complete an application form.
Please note: If your group has been awarded a grant from Somerset Community Foundation in the last two years then you will not be charged the one-off assessment fee.
To register on Localgiving.com through Somerset Community Foundation you do not have to be a registered charity, but your organisation does have to have clear charitable aims, and also be based and working in Somerset.
Your organisation must also have its own bank account with at least two signatories to authorise cheques.

You will need to compete an application form, which can be found by , or request one to be sent by post or by contacting our office.
As well as a completed application form you will also need to send by post or email the following;
- Your organisation's constitution or set of rules
- Your organisation's most recent accounts or financial information
- A list of names and addresses of the Management Committee/ Governing body
- A copy of your child protection policy if you work with children or young people
