Apply by Friday 5 April, 2024 and we’ll let you know if we can help you by mid-May 2024
The Oake Sunshine Fund has been set up as a result of the New Rendy Solar Farm development and will provide grants of up to £2,000 that benefit residents of the parish of Oake, including the hamlets of Heathfield, Hillcommon, Hillfarrance and Oake. All grants are made in consultation with Oake Parish Council.
Grants, which we expect to average £1,000, can be made to community and voluntary organisations, registered charities, and social enterprises.
While the fund is deliberately broad in scope, there are a number of exclusions:
- Individuals
- Promotion of religion (although projects that benefit the community organised by faith-based organisations are eligible.)
- Animal welfare (although projects that use animals to provide benefit to local residents are eligible)
- Activities that are a statutory responsibility or are otherwise not charitable
- Commercial organisations
Applications should normally be made using our online application form available by clicking here. The online form enables you to save drafts before submitting.
Successful applicants will be required to send monitoring and evaluation forms at the end of their funded activity.
