Donate & Support SCF

We’re the largest funder of small, local charities in Somerset. Last year, thanks to our supporters, we awarded more than £5 million to over 400 local charities.

Demand for our funding is greater than it’s ever been. We want to do all we can to spread the word about our work and inspire more local people to give through us.

But we can only do that if we raise more funds to support our work.

Become a friend of SCF

Set up a regular gift of £20 a month or more and become a Friend of SCF.

Your gift will help us build stronger communities in Somerset where everyone has the chance to thrive. By becoming a Friend of SCF, you’ll help us to:

  • publish research that shines a spotlight on the need here in Somerset, raising awareness both locally and nationally
  • significantly grow the funds we raise for hundreds of local charities and communities to help them change lives every day
  • reach more communities and people who may otherwise not hear about SCF and help them get funding and change lives.

Friends of SCF make a regular donation of £20 a month or more. We’ll keep you up-to-date on our progress and the difference you’re making.

In addition to its vital grant making role, I feel it’s crucial for SCF to shine a light on issues affecting disadvantaged people in Somerset. The events I’ve attended as a Philanthropy Network member are very powerful examples of how the Foundation can make an impact on some seemingly intractable issues.

I hope I can help the Foundation to grow its profile, influence and long-term funding for our communities.
