What money can I apply for today?
SWEF Enterprise Grants
Apply here if you are aged 18 to 35, currently live in the counties of Somerset, North Somerset or BANES, want to start your own business and know what products or services you want to provide, or have been trading for under 2 years.
Grants up to £2,000.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application within 2 months of their application being submitted.

Somerset Training and Employment Support Grants
Apply here if you are:
- aged 16 to 30 and currently live in the counties of Somerset, North Somerset or BANES
- entering or are currently in training (for example a college course) or an apprenticeship, or starting work after a period of unemployment
- needing some help with the cost of essential things for training or employment, an apprenticeship or starting a new job.
Grants up to £500
Apply by Monday 3 June 2024 and we will let you know the outcome of your application in July.
Bishop Fox’s Educational Foundation
Are you between 11 and 24 years old?
Do you need financial help to achieve your goals?
Do you live or go to school in the former Borough of Taunton Deane (or are you a university student with local connections)?
Every year around £100,000 of grant funding is awarded to individuals, schools and organisations.

Which funds are not yet open?
Horseshoes and Handprints Fund
Grants towards the cost of horse therapy for children and young people with a neurological condition are now being delivered through a small number of horse therapy providers. Please contact us for more information by emailing info@somersetcf.org.uk or calling us on 01749 344949.
West Somerset Youth Trust
You will be able to apply for up to £300 here if you are aged 14 to 25, live in West Somerset (this excludes Taunton or the former area of Taunton Deane), and need help to pay for course or event fees, travel costs, or equipment that enriches your education.
Eagle House Small Grants
Eagle House Small Grants is now closed. If you live in Somerset, BANES or North Somerset please consider applying for a Training and Employment Support Grant. For more information and to apply click here.
Mary’s Beat
This Fund is for people with a physical and/or learning disability, who live in Somerset or Devon (but not North Somerset, Bristol or BANES), and need help with the cost of attending an outdoor or music activity. Grants of up to £1,000.
We hope to be able to open this Fund to application in April/May 2024 if sufficient funding becomes available.
