Funding of up to £1000 available for groups in Taunton Deane
Somerset Community Foundation is delighted to announce an exciting grant funding opportunity for groups in the Taunton Deane Borough Council area.
The TDBC Voluntary and Community Sector Small Grants Fund has been launched today to offer small unrestricted grants of up to £1,000 to community groups and charities working to benefit people in the Taunton Deane area. The Foundation is looking to award grants for most types of community activity or project, including core costs, run by local organisations.
TDBC Councillor Jane Warmington said “We are pleased to be working with Somerset Community Foundation to deliver this funding to voluntary groups across Taunton Deane. The Grants Team has invaluable experience of the many small projects which can make such a difference to people’s lives and their communities.”
The fund has been created by Taunton Deane Borough Council and will be administered by Somerset Community Foundation. Andy Ridgwell, Programmes Manager at Somerset Community Foundation said – “We are delighted to have the opportunity to administer this fund for Taunton Deane Borough Council, and hope to support some outstanding community projects in the area. SCF are ideally placed to help ensure the funding is delivered as effectively as possible, and I look forward to seeing the applications as they come in”.
