Somerset VCSE Leaders' Conference 2018: The Future of Social Action in Somerset
Somerset VCSE Strategic Forum's annual Leaders' Conference, which is being held on Wednesday 9 May, in Victoria Park Community Centre in Bridgwater, is a great excuse for CEOs, senior managers and Chairs to take some time out of their busy schedules. This year's theme is The Future of Social Action in Somerset and will be an exciting opportunity to hear from leading practitioners and thinkers.
An increasing number of organisations and community groups are currently delivering great work across the county and the conference will look at celebrating these organisations, share their learning and also tap into some of the national thinking about the direction of Social Action.
There will be opportunities to discuss and debate, and delegates will take practical ideas and new connections away with them at the end of the session. Topics for discussion will include the future of volunteering; becoming more enterprising; relations with the state; the Somerset Vision; Somerset launch of the Small Chaities Project (Association of Chairs); and more.
