Drop-in day for HPC Community Fund
If you feel that your community is impacted by the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and could benefit from the community funds available, then a drop-in day at Cannington Village Hall on Thursday 25 October could help. Somerset Community Foundation (SCF), who manage the HPC Community Fund, are inviting people to come and discuss any ideas they may have that could mitigate the impacts of the Hinkley Point C build and help their communities. There is no need to make an appointment - you can drop by any time between 10am and 4pm.
Luke Mitchell, recently appointed Programmes Manager at SCF, said: “I will be at Cannington Village Hall on Thursday 25 October between 10am and 4pm to chat about our Small Grants Programme and how the HPC Community Fund may help bring your ideas to life. If you think your project or initiative could make a difference in your community, we might be able to help with funding. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to discuss people’s ideas. The kettle will be on and there’s no need to make an appointment – if you have an idea for a project then just pop along for a chat!”
The next deadline to apply for funding from the HPC Community Fund Small Grants Programme is Friday 2 November.
