Are you a small or medium sized business based in Somerset?

Do you want to give back to the local community to support the people, places and causes important to you and your team, but don’t know where to begin? Inundated with letters from local groups asking for help and don’t have the capacity to support them all?

Read more about our new Collective Giving Funds – a unique and powerful way for local donors to come together to support causes important to them.

I’m Fiona and I work for Somerset Community Foundation, where I’m the Philanthropy Manager. This means I have the great privilege of helping people who want to change the world on their doorstep here in Somerset donate to a host of amazing causes, working tirelessly to do just that, right across our county.

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in the number of Somerset businesses wanting to give back locally. You don’t have to be a multi-million-pound operation to make an impact. You can make a real difference here in Somerset, whatever the size of your business and the donation you can afford, by giving collectively with others to maximise your impact.

By giving to one of our new Collective Giving Funds we can offer businesses a quick, cost-effective way to support the people, places and causes that are important to you and your team, and by giving with others, help multiple local charities and not just one.

RK Bell is the most recent Somerset company that has chosen to work with us and help make a difference to local communities. A third-generation, family-run business, based in Bridgwater, in 2023 RK Bell donated to one of our Collective Giving Funds that specialises in bringing communities together – The Somerset Fund. Having seen the difference they were able to make with their first gift, we’re delighted they want to continue to support grassroot-organisations working at the heart of the communities where both their team and customers live and work.

If you’re a local company and want to help change the world on your doorstep, then come and speak to us about giving collectively with others for a cost-effective, easy way to make a real difference here in Somerset.
