Introducing our new Trustee, Francis Clark

We’re very pleased to announce that Francis Clark has joined our Board of Trustees. With over 25 years of investment management experience and a strong commitment to Somerset’s communities, Francis will play an important role in guiding our work over the coming years.

Born and raised in Somerset and having lived near Taunton for over 20 years, Francis has strong connections across the county. His financial and investment management experience will be of particular use to the Foundation alongside his commitment to local bodies and organisations.

Francis said: “I’m delighted to have been offered the opportunity to work with Somerset Community Foundation as a Trustee. Somerset is a great county, but at times some of its people can be overlooked or ignored. I look forward to supporting them and their communities in any way I can.”

Michael Samuel, Chair of Somerset Community Foundation, said: “We welcome Francis to the Foundation. He joins us at a very important time and will play a key role in overseeing the investment of our endowment fund, ensuring we can meet the needs of our communities today and for generations to come.”

As one of our Trustees, Francis will help shape the Foundation’s long-term vision and ensure we continue to make a meaningful difference for communities across Somerset.
